ScreenCraft Announces Jamaica Residency Attendees

ScreenCraft has announced the attendees selected to receive free tuition for the inaugural ScreenCraft Screenwriters Residency Program in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, presented by the Calabash Literary Festival and the Jamaica Film & Television Association. The lucky writers are:

Pearse Lehane (The Lean)
Peter Hunziker & Cynthia Riddle (Blood Brothers)
Tony Hendriks (Shoot The Girl)
Alana Igbe (We Killed The Boss)

Along with the other attendees, the selected writers will spend September 12-16 in Jamaica during which they will receive mentorship from an all-star group of industry leaders, including Vanessa Ford (The Weinstein Company) Peter Craig (The Town, The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay) and Geoffrey Fletcher (Precious)

**ScreenCraft Fellow TA Snyder’s Dead Men Pilot Acquired by Endgame Entertainment**

Inaugural ScreenCraft Fellow TA Snyder’s pilot script Dead Men has been acquired by Endgame Entertainment. The script, which was developed from a feature to a pilot through ScreenCraft’s development program, has received numerous industry accolades, including the top prize at The Tracking Board’s Launch Pad Pilot competition.

Described as “Se7en meets Deadwood”, the grisly, thrilling Dead Men centers on a veteran lawman and a young idealist who struggle to lead the hunt for America’s first serial killers, roughly twenty years after American won the Revolutionary War and declared its independence. Endgame Entertainment is the production company responsible for many critically acclaimed projects including Looper and Hotel Rwanda.

PAGE Selects Quarterfinalists in 2017 International Screenwriting Awards

After two highly competitive rounds of competition, the PAGE awards have announced the quarterfinalists in their 2017 International Screenwriting Awards, comprising the top 10 percent of all entires received. For the full list, head on over to the official PAGE website.
