Scott Pilgrim Enthusiasm, Tourism, and Fail

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Enthusiasm

1. The forthcoming film is directed and co-written by Edgar Wright who also created my most favorite movie, Shaun of the Dead. Shaun of the Dead changed my life by making Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" my top juke box selection, and if you don't understand that reference, put Shuan at the top of your netflix right now. Also, I'm jealous that I didn't write Shaun of the Dead.

2. If you've read Scott Pilgrim, you'll know that real Toronto locations are mentioned in the books. Whilst I'm in Toronto next week, I'm going to make every effort to visit Sneaky Dee's, the Tex-Mexy bar visited during the recording of Sex Bob-omb's album.

3. I love what Edgar Wright said in an interview- that in musicals, when emotions run high people break into song. In this movie, when emotions run high people break into fight. What other actions could this concept be applied to? Aerobic dance? Levitation? Cooking?

4. I have thoughts on impressionism applied to this film and others. More on that later…

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Fail?

1. I haven't finished the last two books in the series because I'm waiting on them at the library because I'm too cheap to buy books and not tidy enough to care that someone else probably sneezed on the one I'm reading.

2. A friend of mine passed gas in extremely close proximity to Michael Cera's head while shopping. Not on purpose or anything, but still.
