Steve Carell continues to impress the more we see him depicting this role. During the casting phases of this film we never thought Carell was the right choice. We were wrong. In fact, wrong is an understatement. From what we've seen (and if you YouTube clips of the real John du Pont) Carell encapsulates every bit of du Pont. It's hard to take your eyes off the screen as he slowly wades through each scene, building towards the massive pivot point of this story.
Not as heavily featured in this trailer, Tatum will be an interesting actor to watch in Miller's film. Tatum has stepped up his game and this could be his Bradley Cooper-esque turn for the upper acting tier.
Finally, Ruffalo is still a mystery to us. Yes, word of mouth is good, but seeing his attitude shift once the story pivots will be a juicy set of scenes.
