Red: A Kubrick Supercut from Rishi Kaneria on Vimeo.
Filmmaker and designer Rishi Kaneria put together this well-edited supercut of Stanley Kubrick’s use of red in all of his films. Now, this could probably be done with a lot of films, but it’s not the same with films directed by Kubrick. His cinematography, set design and meticulous nature were what made his movies so engaging.
Kubrick did not always shoot in color, as he was on both sides of the “black and white” and “color” fence. To see how he embraced visuals so warmly (via this supercut) is a nice afternoon treat.
