This week's trailer award goes to Terminator: Genisys. Overall, the trailer is fun to watch and it is exciting that we are getting another round of a SciFi/Action classic (but hey, don't hold your breath because Salvation was horrendous). So, there's the warm and fuzzy part. Below are things that should have been worked on, are of concern, or should be flat out eliminated:
– Enough with the nods. We get it. It's The Terminator franchise. We don't need old school one-liners to remind us.
– Alan Taylor does have some clout as a director, but was he the right choice? Thor: The Dark World was decent, but we like our Terminators dark. Really dark.
– We are excited to see Emilia Clarke playing Sarah Connor. Good casting choice there.
– Finally, can Arnold hold up? This guy has been through some years since his last Terminator film (and he had been through some years prior to that one as well).
Are we nervous? Of course. But it's hard not to be excited about a new Terminator film.
