Lost River is by no means new, but this trailer is fairly new and boasts some interesting (and telling) imagery.
Written and directed by actor Ryan Gosling, Lost River encompasses a strange story of discovery and extreme escapism. With blatant influence from both Refn and Lynch, this film inhabits multiple fantastical worlds that are still loosely grounded by realism.
Lost River has garnered negative reviews over the past year, but we still welcome it. It breaks the mold and goes against traditional Hollywood storytelling. For that alone we have no problem promoting it; even though it might be riddled with over direction from first-timer Ryan Gosling.
