A woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes.
Charlize Theron stars in the new Gillian Flynn adaptation from hit or miss director Gilles Paquet-Brenner. The trailer does look appetizing, but this film is bound to be compared to Gone Girl, even though it shouldn’t.
It hits some different notes, but ultimately sports the usual Flynn grit audiences have come to love.
