Welcome back to The Script Lab’s weekly contest roundup – our gathering of all the latest in contest news, and announcements for screenwriters looking to unleash their latest masterpiece on the right crowd. Screenwriting competitions are tried and true when it comes to making the sort of splash necessary for planting one’s foot firmly in the door, so remember to check back often (every Monday, in fact) for the most up-to-date info on all the weekly winners and deadlines!

ScreenCraft Announces 4th Annual Fellowship Winners

Culled from over 2000 screenplays submitted from all over the world, ScreenCraft has announced the winners of the 4th annual ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship. This year’s winners are: 

Ryan W. Smith – Jacaranda (Feature) 
Anna Klassen – 14 Words (TV Pilot) 
Anya Meksin – Taminex (feature)

WeScreenplay Names Semifinalists in Diverse Voices Screenwriting Competition

WeScreenplay has announced 175 semifinalists in its Diverse Voices Screenwriting Competition, which aims to encourage diverse voices and stories from perspectives underrepresented in Hollywood today. This year’s contest also generated $2,712 dollars for the Books for Kids Foundation, with WeScreenplay donating $3 dollars for every submission.

HollyShorts Screenplay Contest – $70

HollyShorts Film Festival (HSFF) is an annual short film festival showcasing the best and brightest short films and short screenplays from around the globe. The festival showcases the top short films produced 40 minutes or less and is looking for the best short screenplays 20 pages or less.”
