ScreenCraft Announces Winner in the 2017 Sci-Fi Screenplay Contest

ScreenCraft has announced that Garahm Parke’s original, high concept time travel odyssey Pandorium has been awarded with the Grand Prize in the 2017 Sci-Fi Screenplay Contest. Matthew Johnston’s darkly evocative screenplay, Harvest Season, has been selected as the runner-up.

In addition to having his script circulated across ScreenCraft’s network of industry professionals, Park will receive a two thousand dollar grand prize along with a series of hand-picked professional consultations. ScreenCraft Announces Semifinalists in the 2017 Comedy Screenplay Contest

Comprising the top 5% of entries received, ScreenCraft has announced the semifinalists in their 2017 Comedy Screenplay Contest. The jury, which includes executives from WB, Funny or Die and STX Entertainment, will announce the winners on August 1st. The grand prize-winning screenwriter will receive a one thousand dollar cash prize, circulation amongst ScreenCraft’s industry network, as well as consultations with a number of professional mentors.

Producer Stephen Woolley Options Shore Scripts Winner

Shore Scripts has announced that producer Stephen Woolley has optioned the Shore Scripts 2016 winning feature screenplay, The Assessor, written by Nell and Dave Thomas. Woolley’s company, Number 9 Films, is currently developing the project.
