2017 ScreenCraft Pilot Launch Contest Quarter-Finalists Announced

ScreenCraft has unveiled the quarter-finalists in this year’s Pilot Launch Screenplay Contest, comprising half-hour and hour long teleplays as well as web-series. The quarter-finalists represent the top 25 percent of over 2000 submissions.

2017 ScreenCraft Drama Contest Quarter-Finalists Announced

ScreenCraft has announced the quarter-finalists in their first annual Drama Screenplay Contest. Drawn from over 900 submissions comprising a genre known for compelling, nuanced storytelling, the quarter-finalists represent the top 25 percent of submissions received.

Austin Film Festival Announces Annual Script Competition Winners

The Austin Film Festival has announced the winners in their 2017 Script Competition. Each winners will receive cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, reimbursements for travel and lodging while at AFF, and access to and recognition by some of the most important writers, agents, producers and filmmakers in the industry. In addition, this year’s winner of the Drama category will receive a 2 – 3 week residency in Marfa, Texas through the Capri Fellowship which hopes to provide a place where writers can find their voice and tell the stories they want to tell.

Drama Screenplay Award presented by the Writers Guild of America, East:

Comedy Screenplay Award presented by Sony Pictures Animation:

Sci-Fi Screenplay Award presented by Skybound Entertainment:

Enderby Entertainment Award: 
Apacheria by Andrew Reuland & Joey Grossfield

Horror Screenplay Award:

AMC One-Hour Pilot Award: 
Breakfield by Caitlin Schneiderhan

Sitcom Pilot Award: 
The Big D by Jill Taylor

Short Screenplay Award: 
Ringneck by Michael Allcock

Scripted Digital Series Award presented by Stage 13: 
The Range by Adam Groff

One-Hour Spec Award: 
Black Mirror: Punchbag by Steven Snell

Sitcom Spec Award:
