Criminal Charges Filed In Sarah Jones/MIDNIGHT RIDER Death

By Jameson Brown · July 3, 2014

On February 20th the Gregg Allman biopic Midnight Rider started shooting. The first scene they were doing was a dream sequence, where Allman, played by William Hurt, would be on a mattress on train tracks. But something went terribly wrong – they were set up on live train tracks and a train came through injuring people and killing 27 year old second camera assistant Sarah Jones.

Miller and producers Jody Savrin and Jay Sedrish have been charged with involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespassing in Wayne County, Georgia superior court. Involuntary manslaughter could get them up to ten years in jail, while the trespass charge could add twelve months.
