Mike Nichols (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Graduate) has passed away at age 83. His career was a vibrant one with his films tackling diverse topics head on and taking a close, meditated look at stories that show how we tick.
Nichols was an expert at capturing a strong, determined female voice – see Working Girl and Silkwood (one of our favorites). No topic was out of reach for him to successfully bring to life.
Mr. Nichols, you will indeed be missed.
