John Truby, screenwriter and screenwriting professor, is a smart teacher when it comes to the craft of storytelling. Every story is unique and screenwriters must always have the philosophy of "I must continue to be open to the process and learning." Film Courage sat down with Truby and asked him "why is it that people fail at this art form?" Truby goes into acute detail about the psyche of storytelling and the screenwriters that try to obtain status vs. transforming into genuine storytellers (through the medium of writing for the screen). Do you agree with Truby's comments?
