Film Courage sits down with Gary W. Goldstein (Pretty Woman, Under Siege) to tap into his perspective of what makes a screenplay truly stand out in a crowd (aka get optioned). If the contents of a screenplay move the reader and keep the pages turning, good things are bound to happen.
It may be age-old advice, but that’s why it’s true: writing a unique story that is true to you and is outside of the norm will be the contents of your screenplay’s X-factor. Without that third dimension in your story, real development and story progression won’t occur, thus your screenplay will be yet another stack of papers in the vault.
