Back when P.T. Anderson released The Master, he sat down with Epix to talk about his screenwriting process, specifically what it means when we say "I am going to go write." Sometimes it diverts off into research, while other times it shifts into brainstorming.
Either way, writing is hard and it is something that must happen regulalry. What does regular mean? "When the inspiration strikes" writers are rarely effective. They definitely exist and are talented, but writing, typically, is something that must receive dedicated time.
Research. Outline. Write.
