At the Acura lounge at Sundance this week, Damien Chazelle and cast members Miles Teller, Austin Stowell and Paul Reiser discuss "Whiplash." Teller stars as a young college student striving to be a legendary drummer. When he's invited to play in the school's top band, professor Fletcher (J.K.Simmons) inflicts teachings that border on abuse. It's a film about going after your dreams and the teachers that push you to achieve them, whether their methods are acceptable or not. Chazelle and the actors discuss making the movie and the challenges of performance, both in music and film.
