So it would have been easy to drop the new Ron Howard Moby Dick movie In the Heart of the Sea, but since Birdman is officially opening today, we decided to drop it again.
We aren't highlighting this film again because it's good for our health, but because it's bringing back one of our favorite stars (Keaton) who is one of the best character actors in the past two decades. This role fits him like a glove – sort of like Rourke's role as Randy "The Ram" Robinson. These meaty acting jobs are few and far between simply because they tend to be built around a real actor, one who can elevate them to the highest of points.
Keaton nails this. All the way. No question. Needless to say, Birdman is a tightly shot delve into mental status that transcends.
