Dan Fogelman is a man of diverse range, specifically writing and producing. He penned a film that helped revive the "breezy" romcom (Crazy, Stupid, Love), but he also wrote The Guilt Trip. He stepped up his family friendly game with Disney Pixar's Cars, but then brought it right back down with Cars 2. Either way, his focal point of screenwriting, stinkers aside, is a massive strength and we want to see where he can take it.
Fogelman ventures into the directing arena with Danny Collins. Although the storyline seems one time, two time, three time seen, its cast is on point with a flexible backbone of Pacino and Bening.
