Janeane Garofalo and Larry Miller Star in Pelican House Production’s new Theatrical Release – Quirky Family Comedy ‘GENERAL EDUCATION’

Well Go USA to Debut Day and Date VOD on August 24th

Los Angeles, CA (July 2, 2012) – Well Go USA and Pelican House Productions in association with Greenhouse Studios have joined forces to release the hilarious new comedy GENERAL EDUCATION, which was directed by Tom Morris.  The film, which was produced by Morris, Elliot Feld, Jaz Kalkat and Kevin Liang for Pelican House Productions, stars Chris Sheffield (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”), Janeane Garofalo (“Delocated”), Larry Miller (“New Year’s Eve”) and Maiara Walsh (“Switched at Birth”). Kevin Matusow is the Executive Producer.  PHP Films, a subsidiary of Pelican House, will release the film in 10 markets including New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Columbus and Dallas.  Well Go USA will launch a simultaneous VOD release on internet and cable on August 24th.

Levi Collins (Sheffield) is set to go to the local University on a tennis scholarship, but he forgot to tell his parents one thing – he didn’t graduate.  As a result, he must take summer school before his mom and dad discover he’s failed senior science. At school, Levi falls in love with his classmate, Katie (Walsh), and learns that he has to make a choice between playing tennis and receiving a proper education. GENERAL EDUCATION is a quirky comedy about a family learning to grow together.
The film, which was shot on location in Chico and Gridley, California, also stars Elaine Hendrix (“90210”), Bobby Campo (“The Final Destination”), McKaley Miller (“Hart of Dixie”) and Mercedes Masohn (“The Finder”).

The producers are represented by Nate Bolotin at XYZ Films.  The deal between Well Go USA and Pelican House Productions was negotiated by Well Go USA President, Doris Pfardrescher.

Next up for Pelican House Productions is the feature film TRUCK WORLD, which is currently in development.
