In this podcast episode, I sit down with writer/director Robyn Paris to chat about her web series The Room Actors: Where Are They Now? Robyn started her career as an actress and can be seen as Michelle in the cult favorite film The Room, which inspired the 2017 film The Disaster Artist starring James Franco.
Now a writer/director, Robyn’s experience acting in what’s considered the Citizen Kane of bad movies has inspired her to make a funny mockumentary web series with her fellow actors. For anyone who’s ever considered making a web series, Robyn shares some crucial information like how she crowd-sourced the funding through Kickstarter, the creative ways she marketed the web series, and what opportunities have come to her as a result. And if you’re a fan of The Room, she shares details of what working with Tommy Wiseau was really like.
The Room Actors: Where Are They Now is currently streaming on TheRoomMockumentary.com.
