WATCH: Meyerhoff on “I Believe in Unicorns”, Teenagers & Indie film – DIFF

After premiering at SXSW this year and garnering a nomination for the Grand Jury Award, "I Believe in Unicorns" has become a festival darling. At the Dallas International Film Festival this week, ATW sat down with Meyerhoff to discuss her NYU thesis film. The story centers on a young girl, her love affair and the heartbreak that comes with it. Also dealing with a disabled mother, she escapes through fairy tales and fantasy. Hand-crafted with a unique mystical and youthful aesthetic, the film is clearly a refreshing directional vision. Meyerhoff discusses her passion for telling the teenage story and how she she executed her vision on screen.
